A collaboration meeting was held at Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Health Sciences, with the participation of academics and the Samsun Probation Directorate, as part of the ongoing work on children involved in crime. The meeting addressed project and application areas for the protection, rehabilitation, and reintegration of children into society.
The meeting was attended by Samsun Probation Director Mehmet Ofluoğlu, Head of the Social Work Department Prof. Dr. Ercümend Ersanlı, Head of the Child Development Department Assoc. Dr. Yaşar Barut, and Social Work Department faculty member Assoc. Dr. Bilge Türkoğlu, as well as probation personnel.
The discussions highlighted the development of protective and supportive programs for children involved in crime, increasing multidisciplinary field applications, and integrating academic knowledge into social work processes. Ideas were also exchanged regarding the planning of student-participated social responsibility projects and joint research studies.
This collaboration aims to provide scientific contributions to child-centered intervention processes and to lay the groundwork for the implementation of sustainable projects.
