Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) Faculty of Health Sciences students achieved significant success in the 5th term call for the "University Student Societies Collaboration and Support Program (ÜNİDES). Our faculty's Ethics and Social Services Community has been awarded ÜNİDES support for its project titled "Digital Empathy in Social Work."
As part of the program, conducted by the General Directorate of Youth Services of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Turkey, a total of 3,764 project applications were received from 81 provinces. Following this comprehensive evaluation process, six projects were awarded support from OMU. Our faculty community's project, combining the fields of digitalization and social work, attracted attention with its innovative approach. The project aims to raise awareness of the empathy-based use of digital technologies in social work practices and to develop students' skills in this area.
Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Prof. Dr. In her speech, Esra PANCAR YÜKSEL said: “We are proud that our students have successfully represented our university through their work focused on social contribution. This project reflects the productive and innovative vision of both our faculty and our university.
